Yes. Canvas Tempe offers individual, or by-the-bed, leasing, so that each of our residents is only financially responsible for their assigned living space and lease agreement.
No, housing contracts at Canvas Tempe are legally binding and cannot be broken mid-lease. For more information on our housing contracts and how you can re-let your apartment, please reach out to our leasing office directly.
Our housing contracts include access to your unit, high-speed WiFi, and a complete set of bedroom and living room furniture and appliances. Residents also have unlimited access to our expansive suite of on-site amenities, plus access to our handy resident and maintenance portal at no extra charge.
Your Apartment
Canvas offers a range of studios through four-bedroom apartments, so you can pick the layout that best fits your lifestyle.
Residents should plan to pack personal belongings such as toiletries, bedding, clothing, and decorations, alongside shared kitchen utensils including pots, pans, silverware, and other basic cooking supplies.
Residents can submit maintenance requests through our online resident portal, in person at our leasing office, or over the phone. In the case of an emergency, please contact our leasing office immediately.
Roommates
Yes. If you already have a roommate or group of roommates in mind, please let our leasing office know while you are signing your lease.
If you do not already have a roommate group in mind, our leasing office will do our best to match you with a compatible set of roommates. We will ask that you fill out a detailed roommate matching questionnaire to aid us in this process.
Community & Pets
Yes. We allow cats, dogs, and fish to live at Canvas Tempe, though restrictions and additional fees may apply. Please contact our leasing office or review your housing contract for more detailed information on our pet policies.
Yes. Canvas frequently hosts fun events centered around wellbeing, socialization, and the academic school year, so it’s easy for our residents to get to know one another and settle in quickly.

Yes. We offer attached garage parking for an additional monthly fee.
